- Eldon Harrell, Chairman
Eldon Harrell is retired after spending 20 years in the Southeast as an
auctioneer. Prior to those years, he spent 20 years in oil field operations
and construction supervision. He has extensive small business and entrepreneurship
experience.
He is a member of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce and the Dayton Chapter of
the Veterans of Foreign Wars (having served during the Korean War.) He has
served on the Board of Directors for Citizens for Affordable Homes for 2
years.
- William Cadwallader, AICP, Vice Chairman
Mr. Cadwallader graduated with a B. S. in Building Construction and a Masters
in Urban and Regional Planning from Texas A&M University. He served on board
the USS Hancock as a communications officer from 1972 to 1975. Additional
post graduate work at the Armed Forces Staff College, Air War College, Naval
War College, Cameron University, University of Oklahoma, University of Nevada
Las Vegas, Western Nevada Community College and Arizona Western University.
Publications include Urban and Regional Information Systems Association,
Town Planning Institute of Sri Lanka, Geo Information Systems Magazine,
Business Geographics Magazine, Jane's (Greek Edition) and the Nevada Geographic
Information Society. Mr. Cadwallader is experienced in Computer Modeling
and Geographic Information Systems with Lawton Metropolitan Area Planning
Commission, Nevada Department of Transportation, Psomas, and Western Nevada
Development District. Mr. Cadwallader is an adjunct instructor with Webster
University teaching graduate classes in Computer Data Management. He
currently holds the position of Chief Information Officer for ComputerCorps.
- Perry Comeaux, Secretary
Perry Comeaux was appointed Director, Department of Administration, by
Governor Bob Miller, in October 1993, and reappointed by Governor Guinn in
January 1999 and just retired from that position. Prior to his appointment,
he was the Executive Director of the Nevada Department of Taxation for nine
years, and Assistant Director of Administration for the Nevada Department
of Prisons for four years. He also served on the Board of the Carson Treatment
Center for several years until it closed in 2001. Perry moved to Nevada in
1980 from Miami, Florida where he held administrative positions with the Florida
Department of Corrections. Prior to his work in corrections, he practiced
public accounting in Florida.
He is a Florida native, graduated from the Florida State University with a
Bachelor's Degree in business and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has
been on the Board of Directors of Citizens for Affordable Homes since mid 2005.
- Gigi Valenti, Treasurer
Gigi Valenti, CPA, CMA has been self employed as a CPA since 1992 in the
Northern Nevada area. In this capacity she specializes in accounting for
small businesses, focusing on contractors, sub-contractors and various
related areas. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur she was a controller and
accountant.
Gigi holds a Bachelor's Degree from California State University at Fullerton,
a Masters of Business Administration from University of Nevada, Reno and a
Masters of Public Administration from University of Southern California.
She completed the Doctoral program at the University of Southern California
except for the dissertation.
She is a member of the Carson City Redevelopment Citizens Committee, the
Carson City Chamber of Commerce, the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the Nevada State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the
Institute of Management Accountants and the Builders Association of Western
Nevada. She is the Treasurer for the Western Chapter of Certified Public
Accountants. She has been on the Board of Directors of Citizens for Affordable
Homes for 3 years and is currently the Treasurer.
- Al Kramer, Director
Alvin Kramer is the Treasurer of Carson City, where he was elected to that
position in 1994. He is responsible for the fiscal management of Carson City.
Prior to being elected, he was the Deputy Treasurer for Operations for the
State of Nevada. He also spent 15 years in the private sector in accounting
and data processing and was a Lieutenant in the US Army.
Alvin holds a Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University and a Masters
Degree from Claremont Graduate School. Alvin has been on the Board of Directors
for Citizens for Affordable Homes off and on since 1995. He has a "…firm
belief that real estate is the best investment of our time. It is the primary
investment that can be enjoyed as it grows in value."
