Consumer Credit Counselor

Ms. Rosa Garza, a bilingual Consumer Credit Counselor accredited by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and also a marketing specialist, was hired in December 2004. She is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Northern Nevada. Rosa has developed collaborative partnerships with Nevada Legal Services, Nevada Hispanic Services, Family Resource Centers, and other non-profit organizations to promote homeownership opportunities. She is conducting English and Spanish seminars on a monthly basis to educate potential homebuilders on credit counseling, budgeting, home buyer education, and predatory lending.

Credit Counseling Program

CAHI's Counseling Assistance Program provides a full range of comprehensive services, advice and assists low and very-low income consumers in improving their housing conditions and meeting the responsibilities of homeownership.

Eligibility and Counseling Area of Service

All low and very-low income individuals that apply for CAHI's self-help homebuilder's program are elgibile under our Credit Counseling Assistance Program on a no fee basis.
